Eagle One's Company History Eagle One Golf Products introduced Recycled Plastic Lumber (Greenwood™) into the golf course industry in 1992 and continues to be a pioneer in this category with its diverse line of eco-friendly products. Commencing with a simple range of golf products including hazard markers, tee markers, tee signs and yardage markers, Eagle One has expanded and become known as the company with durable, almost no maintenance site products for the golf, park, construction, amusement, outdoor furniture and other industries. Greenwood products were immediately accepted because of their low maintenance, high durability and good looks. Hundreds of other items were added to the line including water cooler houses, divot mix containers, starter’s podiums, benches and more. With the growth of Greenwood, demand for other associated items occurred simultaneously, requiring Eagle One to add other products such as rope, signs, chain, flags, flagsticks, cup, tools etc. In 1994 Eagle One had its second breakthrough in the golf industry with the launch of 400 Denier pin flags. This material was slightly heavier than the material in use at the time but offered two significant advantages, increased durability and higher quality graphics. 400 Denier flags are now the staple of the golf course industry. 1995 saw the next innovation with the introduction of double-sided embroidered flag logos. This significant change resulted in the elimination of double thickness pin flags with duplicate embroidered logos on each face. This new technique substantially reduced the cost of course flags and allowed them to fly in the wind better. Today Eagle One’s pin flags can be seen at over 80 professional tournaments annually in the U.S. and is the flag of choice on the number one golf course in the world. Since incorporation, Eagle One has brought in numerous other unique products to the industry. This includes the Klaw ball mark repair tool, the Hole groomer tool, the Precision Hole cutter, Laminated Plastic signs and much more. Today Eagle One’s golf course segment offers over 15,000 items through 640 pages of catalog. The company has distribution throughout the world and is considered one of the top suppliers of golf course accessories in the world. In 2008, Eagle One was the supplier of flagsticks to all USGA events including the U.S.Open at Torrey Pines, California. In 2004 Eagle One expanded its Greenwood expertise into the outdoor furniture, recreation, construction and OEM industries. This diversity takes the company into many arenas. On the furniture side Eagle One offers items such as Adirondack chairs, various tables, chaise lounges, deep seated patio settings, planters’ boxes, window boxes, picnic tables, signs, deck boxes and more. On the construction side the company offers three forms of Greenwood; regular, structural and rough. On the OEM side, Eagle One has supplied components to a variety of industries. Significant projects include animal fencing and stages for zoos, furniture for major cruise lines and amusement companies, decking for docks, balustrades and stairs for condominium complexes, planters for major hotel groups, specified external furniture supplies for a major restaurant chain, and much more. Eagle One is a very diverse and progressive company with the ability to build and customize products for thousands of applications. Environmentally friendly Greenwood is not only a great material for many applications but is 100% recycled and recyclable. The high-density plastic, recycled from milk bottles, does not suffer from the problems associated with wood, metal and other materials. It is impervious to most chemicals, does not rot, rust, corrode or ever need painting. The color is consistent throughout the lumber, making it resistant to color fading. |
